Prometheus® PGY® is a metal clay that transforms into a solid, greenish-yellow bronze after firing, offering a distinctive alternative to traditional bronze. Perfect for handmade jewelry and artistic projects with personality.
Composition and Uses
This clay is composed of:

Purified water
It can be hand shaped, textured, rolled, extruded and even turned .
Compatible with:

Glass, ceramic and porcelain beads

Bottom line
When fired, the binder burns off, leaving a piece of pure, solid, greenish-yellow bronze .
Finish your piece:

Brushing the surface
-
Using pickle if there is firescale (oxidation)

Polishing to highlight its color and texture
2-Step Cooking Process
Before you begin , test with a small piece to adjust the oven temperature if necessary (±5%).
Step 1: Removing the binder

Place the dried piece on a stainless steel rack.

Place in a cold oven and turn up the temperature to 500°C / 932°F .

Cook for 15 minutes .

Carefully remove and allow to cool on a fire-resistant surface.
Step 2: Sintering

Cover the bottom of a steel container with 3 cm of activated carbon .

Place the pieces leaving at least 1.5 cm of separation between them.

Fill with more activated charcoal and close the container.

Place in a preheated oven at 800°C / 1470°F .

Once the oven returns to temperature, cook for 1 hour .

Let cool in the oven or carefully remove and let cool on a heat-resistant surface.
