Prometheus® Sterling White Bronze Clay is an innovative clay material that, when fired, transforms into a solid white bronze with an attractive appearance similar to sterling silver .
It is composed of a blend of micron-sized bronze powder, water, and an organic binder , making it hand-moldable, rollable, texturizable, and suitable for pottery wheels . PSW® is ideal for shaping jewelry, sculptures, hollow pieces, and high-quality decorative objects.
In addition, it is compatible with :
-
Cubic Zirconia and Lab Created Stones
-
Previously tested natural stones
-
Glass beads, ceramics, porcelain
-
Other Prometheus® metal clays , allowing you to create multi-coloured pieces or pieces with contrasting effects.
2-step cooking process

-
Place the dried pieces on a stainless steel rack.
-
Place them in a cold oven and raise the temperature to 500°C / 932°F .
-
Cook for 15 minutes .
-
Remove and let cool on a heat-resistant surface.
Step 2 – Final cooking on activated charcoal:
-
Fill the bottom of a steel container with 3 cm of activated carbon .
-
Distribute the pieces with at least 1.5 cm of separation between each other .
-
Cover them completely with more charcoal and cover the container.
-
Place the container in a preheated oven at 770°C / 1420°F .
-
Cook for 2 hours .
-
Let them cool in the oven or carefully place them on a fireproof mat.
Finish
After firing, brush your pieces to remove any residue. If any rust (firescale) remains, soak them in a hot pickling solution , rinse well, and then polish to the desired finish.
