Prometheus® Sunny Bronze Clay is an incredibly versatile material that transforms into pure, solid bronze when fired in a kiln. It's composed of ultra-fine bronze powder, water, and organic binders, making it a metal clay that's easy to hand-shape, roll into sheets, texture, or even wheel-work.

This clay is compatible with a wide variety of materials such as cubic zirconia, natural stones, glass beads, ceramics, and other Prometheus® metal clays , making it an ideal choice for artists and jewelers with a creative vision.

Once fired, the binder disappears, leaving a solid bronze piece ready to be brushed, pickled, and polished. PSB® is perfect for bringing your ideas to life: from custom jewelry and sculptures to complex decorative objects.

Cooking Options for PSB®

1. Carbon method (recommended)

• Step 1: Bake in a cold oven at 500°C for 15 minutes. Cool outside.

• Step 2: Bury activated charcoal inside a steel container. Bake in a preheated oven at 820°C for 60 minutes.

• Cool inside or outside the oven on a heat-resistant surface.

2. Open shelf cooking

• Bake in a preheated oven at 820°C for 30 minutes.

• Immerse in hot water after cooking to facilitate cleaning the piece.

3. Cooking with a blowtorch

• Heat slowly until the binder burns (indicated by smoke and a candle-like flame).

• Then heat at full power until the piece turns a deep orange-red. Continue to heat for 5–10 minutes.

• Cool and clean with Picklean® if any oxidation layer (firescale) remains.
