Prometheus® Jewellers Light Yellow Bronze Clay Syringe Type - 10 Grams (with 3 Tips)

Prometheus® PLY® is a metallic clay that transforms into a pure, solid, light yellow bronze after kiln-firing. It is composed of micron-sized bronze powder, water, and an organic binder, allowing for easy and detailed modeling.

It can be hand-worked, rolled, textured, or even turned on a potter's wheel . It is compatible with a wide variety of materials such as cubic zirconia, tested natural stones, glass beads, ceramic, porcelain, and other Prometheus® clays .

Cooking Instructions (Recommended Method: 2 Steps)

Step 1 – Pre-firing (burning of the binder):

• Place the dried pieces on a stainless steel rack.

• Place in a cold oven and heat to 500°C (932°F) .

• Hold for 15 minutes .

• Carefully remove the pieces and let them cool on a heat-resistant surface.

Step 2 – Final cooking:

• At the bottom of a steel container, place 3 cm of activated carbon .

• Add the pieces leaving at least 1.5 cm of space between them .

• Cover completely with more activated charcoal and close the container.

• Place in oven preheated to 780°C (1436°F) .

• Cook for 60 minutes after reaching the desired temperature.

• Allow to cool in the oven or on a heat-resistant surface.

Final Finish

• Brush the parts to remove residue.

• Use pickle or hot pickling solution if firescale (oxidation layer) remains.

• Finish with polishing to achieve the desired shine.
