Prometheus® Jewellers Light Yellow Bronze Clay

Prometheus® Light Yellow Jewelers' Bronze Clay is an innovative clay material that transforms into pure, solid bronze with a delicate light yellow hue after kiln firing. Thanks to its formulation of micron-sized bronze powder, water, and organic binder, it allows for extremely versatile artistic manipulation.

Cooking instructions

2-step cooking (recommended by the manufacturer):

Step 1:

• Place the completely dry piece on a stainless steel rack.

• Place it in a cold oven.

• Heat to 500°C (932°F) .

• Hold for 15 minutes .

• Carefully remove and allow to cool on a heat-resistant surface.

Step 2:

• In a steel container, place 3 cm of activated carbon at the base.

• Arrange the pieces at least 1.5 cm apart.

• Fill completely with activated carbon.

• Close the container and place it in an oven preheated to 780°C (1436°F) .

• Cook for 60 minutes once temperature is reached.

• Allow to cool in the oven or on a heat-resistant surface.

Final finish

• Brush the piece to remove residue.

• If necessary, use a pickling solution to remove the finescale (oxidation layer).

• Buff to desired shine.
