Prometheus® Troy Bronze Clay (PTB®) is an innovative metal clay that, after firing, becomes a solid, pure bronze , ideal for projects requiring high dimensional accuracy . With only 5% shrinkage , it's perfect for pieces that require near-exact measurements!

Cooking – Carbon Method (recommended)
Estimated total shrinkage: only 5%
Step 1 – Pre-cooking

Place the dried pieces on a stainless steel rack .

Place the rack in a cold oven and heat to 500°C / 932°F .
You can also use a gas or electric stove. -
Cook for 15 minutes .

Remove and let cool on a heat-resistant surface.
Step 2 – Final cooking

Add 3 cm of activated charcoal to the bottom of a steel container.
-
Place the pieces at least 1.5 cm apart .
-
Cover completely with charcoal, close the container .
-
Place in a preheated oven at 850 °C / 1560 °F .
-
When it reaches the target temperature again, cook for 90 minutes .

Allow to cool inside the oven or on a fireproof surface.
Note: This method ensures optimal sintering and maximum strength of the bronze.
Finish

Brush after cooking.

Use a stripper

Buff to desired shine.
